MG Process
The company has developed an enzymatic Monoglyceride Process, which can produce highly pure and highly selective MGs of either the feedstock oil (mixed MGs) or of single types (neat MGs) in high yield. As such, the process is viable for industrial production. The direct market for MG encompasses a broad range of industries and it is further growing because researchers are finding special uses for the product. The new process has the following advantages:
(i) allowing unsaturated MGs to be formed and used for polymer applications
(ii) doing away with costly molecular distillation
(iii) producing high quality products that can be used for further synthesis or for medical applications.
The following high purity monoglycerides can be mass produced the MG Process:
Typical product purity range: 99.0-99.9 wt%
• Monoglycerides of each oil source (mixed)
• Neat monoglyceride products
